| Six Manx Harriers race walkers travelled to Worcester to represent the North of England for the annual inter area match on Saturday 30th September. Teams from the North, South and Midlands did battle in all age groups from under 13 to senior level. Sinead Kaneen won the under 13 girls 2k event in a personal best time, & Lauren Whelan finished 2nd in the under 15 girls 3k. Emma Latham was also 2nd in the under 20 ladies 5k event.In the senior women’s 5k Marie Jackson was 3rd & Ciara Kaneen who stepped up an age group after a late call up to replace an injured Liz Corran finished 4th in the same race. Peter Kaneen racing 5k in the senior men’s event was 2nd. For Lauren and Sinead it was their first appearance in a North vest. North of England won the match. Photos by Peter & Sinead Kaneen |
